Tournament Summary

Two-Headed Gooblin Highlights
On Saturday, we ran our Two-Headed Goblin Depot Tournament, unofficially the "Father's Day Tournament".
We managed to get 11 players running 6 teams, with 1 player running two decks at once.
As a reminder, Two-Headed rules mean that both players run their turn at the same time, start at 30 life and we ran "Team Unified" Rules, which mean that neither deck share any card other than basic lands. This means that teams can't common staples like one Swords to Plowshares each, or Command Towers.
The event was overall short, starting around 5 PM and ending around 7:30PM. We played Best of One (No sideboard!) and even with deck checks prior to starting the event, it was over rather quickly.
The Teams
Team Firulais, ran by Father-and-Son Exilius and Bruno, running Cecil & RogDog. Team You Shall Not Cast, ran by the Villa Brothers, running Morshka and Papalymo. Team Pizza Time, ran by Proxyneta and Ghatto, running Donatello and Michaelangelo & Kilo, Apogee Mind. Team Midrange Tempo, ran by Heber and me, Nushio, running Leovold and Spider-man 2099 Team Chavorrucos, ran by Borre's kids, Gera and Ricky, running Muerra and Donnie & Mike Team Awesome Borre, ran by Borre, running two decks, Wrenn and Wilson.
The Event
Round One, Heber and I faced off against Exilius and Bruno. In this format, cards like Boltwave and Flame Rift take a chunk of your life, and RogDog playing both took 14 in one swoop. This match was over too quickly, with the RogDog combo dealing a ton of damage, the burn spells finishing us off, and Cecil keeping us at bay with Sheoldred's Edict and other kill spells.
Round Two, Heber and I faced off against Team Borre, with us claiming an early lead, which Wilson with Lifelink and Noble Heritage inflating his life. My Delayed Blast Fireball was "countered" by a well-timed Heroic Intervention, though it did deal 10 damage to the other team, his army persisted. Heber played a Chain of Smog + Witherbloom Apprentice combo which should've let us win, but Everybody Lives! said otherwise. As I'm writing this, I realize that Everybody Lives didn't actually stop us from gaining infinite life, and the game, which went to turns, and we lost on the final turn, should've been a tie instead.
Round Three, Heber and I faced off against Team Chavorrucos, but with our decks just one-two punching their creatures as they were cast, this match was over rather quickly, too, with our side winning thanks to The Lost and the Damned, and Heber's Stern Scolding.

3rd Place: ๐ฅ Ghatto piloting Kilo, Apogee Mind (also marking Ghatto's 4th appearance in the top 3)
Highlights
A huge welcome and congratulations to Proxyneta, who secured a podium spot in their very first event at Goblin Depot!
Edgar Borre, Ricky Gonzalez, Gera Cervantes and myself came back to the store after a few months away, life's been busy!
Meta Watch
We saw a very spread-out meta today, with an incredible amount of Green decks. RogDog & Cecil getting first place just proves that no matter the format, single or two-headed, something's got to change for Yoshimaru and Rograth.
Borre bringing double-green decks, with Wilson & Noble Heritage and Wrenn, Proxyneta, Ricky and Gera bringing 2x Donatello&Mike and Muerra, and Heber's Leovold meant that over 50% of the decks had Green in them, which in the TL:R Meta, is very unusual.
We also saw fresh faces on the field like Papalymo Totolymo.
Conclusion
The event was kept casual, and we might run this on an annual basis, perhaps more. Overall the challenging deck building constraints and the fast format meant that players perhaps ended up wanting to play more. And hopefully, we will!
