What is Tiny Leaders: Reborn?
Tiny Leaders: Reborn is a 1v1 singleton Magic: The Gathering format built around The Rule of 3: every card in your 50-card deckâincluding your commanderâmust have a mana value of 3 or less. Players start at 20 life, and the compact deck size and low curve create a fast, focused game that plays very differently from Commander.
Originally rising to popularity around 2014, the format eventually went quiet until a dedicated group of players relaunched it as Tiny Leaders: Reborn (TL:R) with an actively maintained banlist and updated rules for multi-part cards (Adventures, Split Cards, or MDFCs), where every face or spell must independently meet the Mana Value 3 limit. You can read the full ruleset on the official TL:R rules page. TriomeLab was built to support this new era by providing the infrastructure that a modern Magic format needs to thrive.
Our Mission
TriomeLab was built with a single goal in mind: to support the Tiny Leaders: Reborn community by providing accessible data and tournament tools. Finding accurate information for niche MTG formats is often a challenge, so we created a central hub where match results and meta trends can be tracked and shared.
Our Data Sources
We believe in building on top of the excellent community tools that already exist in the MTG ecosystem. TriomeLabâs data and imagery are powered by these providers:
- Tiny Leaders Reborn Community (the official home and stewards of the format)
- Scryfall (for card data and imagery)
- MTGJSON (additional card data and set information)
- Moxfield & ManaBox (for deck building integrations)
